Kitchen waste from factory canteen was being disposed through tractor trolley outside of the premises. This incurred a lot of labour leading to an unorganized system of waste disposal with non compliance of legislative norms.
All the above problems have been solved by Shreyans Energy by setting up of kitchen waste treatment plant with CSTR Anaerobic Digestion technology. The plant data are ;
Quantity of Waste from factory canteen & colony - 800 kg/day
Biogas production - 80 M3/day
LPG replacement due to use of Biogas in slow
Cooking application - 40 kg/day
Cost of the project in 2004 - Rs. 8.5 lacs
Saving in LPG per year - Rs. 5.54 lacs
Operating cost on electricity & labour input peryear - Rs. 0.96 lacs
Net saving Per year - Rs. 4.58 lacs
Flate payback on investment - 22 months
